African Public Procurement Network 4th General Assembly
The 4th General Assembly of the African Public Procurement Network (APPN) will be hosted by the Government of Rwanda in Kigali under the theme “Enhancing Sustainable Public Procurement for Africa’s Economic Resilience.”
The theme builds upon the successes of the 3rd Assembly which emphasized integrating sustainability into public procurement. It highlights the need to strengthen existing practices for long-term resilience and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Africa.
The APPN is the largest formal public procurement network in Africa, integrating 54 African countries.
Rwanda will officially its new open contracting portal and our experts Edwin Muhumuza and Carey Kluttz will be presenting on strengthening local supply chains and inclusion of women businesses and leveraging Technology, including AI and Data Analytics for enhancing procurement processes, decision-making, sustainability tracking and reporting.
