How to calculate sustainable public procurement indicators with OCDS data
Sustainable Public Procurement (SPP) indicators can be used to measure the adoption of SPP and the progress toward its environmental, social, and economic goals. Our OpenSPP toolkit explains how to get started with SPP and describes SPP indicators. This guide provides more detail on what data is needed to calculate SPP indicators and how to disclose that data using the Open Contracting Data Standard (OCDS).
This guide is intended to be used by:
- OCDS data publishers: to learn how to model SPP-related fields in the OCDS.
- OCDS data users: to learn which OCDS fields to use to calculate SPP indicators.
When possible, the guidance includes real examples from our OpenSPP toolkit case studies from countries including Chile, Dominican Republic, Korea, Lithuania, Paraguay, Scotland, and Wales.
